KOREA

I'm in Korea wondering if my visa nightmare will allow me to get back into this nutty country in a week from now.

It's like Japan in some ways but funkier and the people are angrier. They yell at each other like New York cab drivers. I like it in some ways here very much. As long as you aren't anywhere near an embassy or immigration people, anything goes. Also they serve sashimi with raw garlic and hot peppers and dunk it into something that tastes a frightening amount like ketchup with hot sauce in it. Everywhere I went I was staying in a love hotel. There's something about staying by yourself in a room with about 12 mirrors in it. Anyway, it has strengthened my resolution to stay on my diet.

It was great seeing old students and friends and I look forward to returning if the powers that be allow me to.

And now on to Holland. It's a whirlwind summer...
