David Berkman Jazz Clinician

Offering workshops and master classes in a variety of subjects including: jazz composition, improvisation, small group dynamics and improvisation for large ensembles emphasising ways to utilize open (free) improvisational techniques to explore, develop and improve student's playing skills (for any style). David Berkman is a member of the faculty of the North Netherlands Conservatory in Groningen, Holland. As a solo artist, or leading groups of musician/clinicians ranging in size from duo to quintet, David Berkman has appeared as an artist-in-residence at many colleges, universities and festivals including:

North Netherlands Conservatory Faculty Member

David Berkman will be part of the traveling faculty of New York-based jazz musicians teaching at the North Netherlands Conservatory in Groningen, Holland. In this unique program, New York faculty members each teach week
long artist-in-residencies, several times over the course of the year. Other faculty members include: Joris Teepe (director,) Don Braden, Ralph Peterson, Craig Handy, Valery Ponomarev, Miles Griffith and Ron Jackson
