DAVID BERKMAN BECOMES DIRECTOR OF QUEENS COLLEGE JAZZ DEPARTMENT
In the fall semester of 2015, David Berkman was promoted to the Director of the Queens College Jazz Program, following Professor Michael Mossman in that position.

DAVID BERKMAN PROMOTED TO ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR AT QUEENS COLLEGE

David Berkman has become the the third full-time tenured professor in the jazz department, joining Michael Mossman (director of the jazz program) and Antonio Hart. Berkman’s classes include a two semester sequence of jazz harmony, ensembles, vocal improvisation and private piano lessons.

PRINCE CLAUS CONSERVATORY

David Berkman is part of the traveling faculty of New York-based jazz musicians teaching at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, Holland. In this unique program, New York faculty members each teach week-long artist-in-residencies, two times over the course of the year. Other faculty members include: Joris Teepe (director,) Joe Locke, Wycliffe Gordon, Michael Mossman, Paul Bollenback, Michael Ledonne, Adam Kolker, Adam Nussbaum, Matt Wilson, Alex Sipiagin, Tim Armacost.
